My passion for social justice, making a tangible difference in the community and resolving people’s problems are the reasons I wanted to get into politics. As a politician, I advocate for certain core beliefs that people plan to uphold through their decision-making. Working in several positions, I gained the leadership skills, which consist in being able to foster a positive work environment; delegating tasks clearly; being able to identify critical factors which will affect the outcome and seeking opportunities to solve problems. I am confident in myself and the team, while staying always calm, patient and professional.  

07/2023 – CURRENT United States  AMBASSADOR OF THE REPUBLIC OF ALBANIA TO THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA  As the resident Ambassador of the Republic of Albania to the United States and as the non-resident  Ambassador of the Republic of Albania to the United States of Mexico, Republic of Panama, Dominican  Republic, Republic of Guatemala and Republic of Costa Rica, my responsibilities consist in:- Representing Albania in the USA and promoting its image;- Establishing and maintaining diplomatic relations between the two countries;- Facilitating trade and commerce, and promoting cultural and educational exchange programs;- Negotiating agreements between Albania and the USA, including trade and diplomatic agreements;- Providing accurate information and advice to the Albanian government about the political, economic and  social conditions in the USA;- Protecting the interests of the Albanian citizens, who are living and traveling to the USA.  

2017 – 2021 Strasbourg, France  HEAD OF DELEGATION TO THE PARLIAMENTARY ASSEMBLY OF THE COUNCIL OF EUROPE,  PACE  As the Head of Delegation to the European Council I had these responsibilities and competences:- Steering inter-institutional dialogue and establishing the best possible coordination between the EU and  Albania;- Following the work of the Council of Europe in relevant areas and providing accurate political reporting  back to Tirana;- Enhancing the visibility and understanding of the European Union's role and policies in the areas related  with Albania;- Helping the organization maintain compliance with regulatory requirements;- Contribution to the tax related projects.  

2013 – 2021 Tirana, Albania  MEMBER OF PARLIAMENT OF THE REPUBLIC OF ALBANIA  During the first and second mandate I hold the position as a Member of Parliament of the Republic of  Albania. I was part of the Economy and Finance Committee and Foreign Policy Committee.  In the Economy and Finance Committee my responsibilities were as listed:- Managing the development of an annual operating budget with staff and the approval of it;- Setting long – range financial goals along with funding strategies to achieve them;- Monitoring income and expenditures against projections;- Ensuring that the budget accurately reflects the needs, expenses and revenue of the organization; 

 ABOUT ME 

WORK EXPERIENCE - Ensuring that the organization has the proper risk- management provisions in place;- Managing and updating policies that help ensure the assets of the organization are protected.  In the Foreign Policy Committee my role consisted in:- Leading the foreign economic, technical and humanitarian assistance;- Managing the foreign loans, for moving and relocating expenses;- Coordinating the international law and International Monetary Fund policy as they relate to foreign policy;- Managing the measures to foster the commercial intercourse with foreign nations;- Managing the responsibilities for overseeing and funding foreign aid programs.  In the Trade and Environment Committee my role consisted in:- Managing the identification of environmental concerns against the interest of international trade;- Coordinating the effects of environmental measures on market access;- Leading the intellectual property agreement and biodiversity policy;- Managing the climate change measures and policies to intersect with international trade.  

2017 – 2021 Tirana, Albania  SECRETARY OF THE SOCIALIST PARTY GROUP IN THE PARLIAMENT OF ALBANIA  In my function as the Secretary of the Socialist Party Group in the Parliament of Albania, I provided strategic  leadership for the organization. Some of my main responsibilities and competences were:-Representing the organization externally and developing strong relations with Member States and other  constituencies;-Reporting on the overall implementation of the Party’s activities;-Representing the organization externally and developing strong relations with Member States and other  constituencies.- Providing value-added solutions and suggestions to the Group.  

2019 – CURRENT Tirana, Albania  HEAD OF THE SOCIALIST PARTY OF TIRANA  As the Head of Socialist Party of Tirana, I am in charge of the coordination of 27 municipal units. I  encourage and foster active engagement by all members of the Party, by promoting a culture of mutual  respect and open communication between all members, the number of whom has reached 18K. I make  sure that sufficient time is made available for Party matters to be fully discussed. One of the main  responsibilities is to direct financial planning and strategy, demonstrating prowess in revenue forecasting  and profitability management. 

 2019 – 2021 Tirana, Albania  HEAD OF THE SUB-COMMITTEE OF THE STATE BUDGET IN THE ASSEMBLY  As the Head of the Sub-Committee of the State Budget in the Assembly, I was in charge of establishment,  extension, and enforcement of special controls over the State budget, including the budgetary treatment of  off-budget state agencies. I ensured that analyses were made on a continuing basis regarding the effect on  budget outlays of relevant existing and proposed legislation. One of the main responsibilities was  managing the requests and evaluating continuing studies of tax expenditures, devise methods of  coordinating tax expenditures, policies, and programs with direct budget outlays.  

2017 – 2021  CHAIRMAN OF THE ALBANIAN – USA FRIENDSHIP GROUP  As the Chairman of the Albanian - USA Friendship Group, I was in charge to manage the relations between  Albania and the USA. Leading the cooperation of these two countries, it strengthened democratic  institutions and promoted sustainability. Some of the main managing duties were the bilateral economic  relations between United States and Albania. I was responsible to represent this friendship group in every  media I was invited, in behalf of the management of this organization. 

  2018 Moscow, Russia  ELECTION REPORTER IN RUSSIA - OSCE & COUNCIL OF EUROPE  As an election reporter, my responsibility was to deliver strong content regarding the process of election in  Russia. 2012-2016 Tirana, Albania SECRETARY OF THE ECONOMIC COUNCIL, ASSEMBLY OF THE SOCIALIST PARTY Primary responsibility was to assist in overseeing policy formulation and implementation of financial, monetary, economic, trade and development as well as innovation and technology matters. As Secretary of the Economic Council, I was also in charge of the Budget. One of the main responsibilities consisted in the  annual budget, in vision and policies for sustainable economic development. Also designing and delivering  complex, large scale communications programmes in a broad range of industry sectors, was one of the way  to contribute to business development.  

2011 – 2014 Tirana, Albania  MEMBER OF THE MUNICIPAL COUNCIL OF TIRANA  In my role as a member of the Municipal Council of Tirana, my responsibilities consisted in: participating  generally in developing and evaluating the policies and programs of the municipality; considering the  welfare and interests of the municipality as a whole and, bringing to council's attention anything that would  promote the welfare or interests of the municipality.  

2001 – 2013 Tirana, Albania  FOUNDER AND MANAGING DIRECTOR – “BUSHATI KONSTRUKSION” SH.P.K.  As the founder and managing director of “Bushati Konstruksion” sh.p.k., I was responsible for tracking  overall development and construction status or monitoring development schedules, budgets, contracts,  invoices, and construction progress on real estate development projects. The main responsibilities were:-Prepare, assemble, and submit due diligence items for financial applications and closings;- Submit and expedite building permits – prepare all required documents necessary to secure building, and  utility permits;- Assist in monitoring project costs as compared to approved project budgets;- Coordinate and facilitate access to construction sites;- Property development - Generate profitable revenue by developing lasting relationships with clients, through business  development and account management leadership;- Ensure provision of market leading, relevant and highly - targeted solutions and content - rich thought  leadership to clients.

1995 – 1999 Chicago, United States  BACHELOR DEGREE “FINANCE – ECONOMICS” “DePaul University”  The first cycle study in the area of finance and economics offers a large accounting culture, finance and  f  inancial statements, business management. On the other hand this study program educates the criticism  as a way of thinking, so that the graduate could concentrate not only the aspects of the keeping the  f  inancial statements, but on dimension and optimal management of business as well. Also it adds new  necessary knowledge in areas of public and private financial processes, financial markets, analysis and investments. The final objective is for graduated student to be able to obtain all necessary knowledge for  financial management.
